These kittens turned into the cutest cat choir and befriended a dog after arriving at a house for a better life.
Two litters of kittens have been transferred from a shelter in West Virginia to Arlington Animal Welfare League in need of foster care.
As one , a rescue volunteer, opened her home to the kittens so they could have a comfortable, spacious room to themselves. “They all came to the shelter at the same time, so I took both litters home,” Asa told Love Meow.
The two black kittens are brothers, while the other three are siblings from a different mother. We clicked immediately when they first met.
They have a lot to say especially in the morning @shibuyarollcall
Jesse (gray tabby), Chloe (gray and white) and Donald (gray and white) were confident, friendly and incredibly chatty from the start. Bumper (black) and Benji (black) were a little shy and followed their new siblings to feed their courage.
With these kittens, the mornings in the residence are no longer quiet. “They’re quite a vocal gang. They felt right at home, bouncing around the foster room and playing with all the toys in sight.”

One by one, the kittens have found their favorite place to sleep by Asa’s lap. They will spin up a storm and fall asleep together.
Jesse, Chloe and Donald are the loudest talkers. Bumper and Benji have joined their choir in the morning and “sing” for food in a medley of meows, beeps and chirps.

“Bumper and Benji still have ‘stranger danger’, but once you gain their trust and they get used to you, they’re cozy little spinners that just want to be a pet.”
Asa’s cat-loving live-in dog, Kona, was ecstatic from the moment she heard the little newcomers. She patiently waited for a good meet-and-greet with the kittens.
Kona was madly in love with her new kittens @shibuyarollcall
Kona who found Asa to be a rescued dog mom has helped many foster homes over the years. Nothing makes her happier than loving kittens and smothering them with hugs and kisses.
The morning cat choir:
When the little ones were ready to meet Kona, they were a little wary of her at first, but Kona didn’t mind the hiss and gave the kittens time to warm up to her.
Jesse was the first to approach Kona and take a nap with her in her arms.

Kona was overjoyed to have Jesse by her side. She threw her arms around him, embracing the moment completely.
“It took a few days for them all to approach her and start playing with her, but now they love hanging out with her during the day,” Asa told Love Meow.
Mornings at the residence are filled with meows and purrs, and there is never a dull moment. Asa wakes up with all five kittens demanding breakfast and competing for her attention.
Kona has now joined the morning routine to make sure the babies are taken care of.
Soon the other kittens were warm to her too @shibuyarollcall
The kittens are growing by leaps and bounds and will be ready for adoption soon.
Jesse is the most independent of the bunch, Bumper and Benji share an adorable bond, and Chloe and Donald make a sweet couple.
